Long, long ago, I had the best of intensions to keep the english EUKLID DynaGeo up to date - but there was so much of other work. Moreover, there were only very few users interested in the english version of my little program. At last, I nearly gave it up. It was Prof. Weigand from the University of Würzburg, Germany, who made me work again on the english version: he wanted to take an actual but english EUKLID DynaGeo with him when this summer he went to teach at the university of Illinois. So I had to sit down and give the project one more try....
Now, the new version 2.5c is available. Here is a short list of the most important new features:
- there are built-in standard mappings
- you can snap a point to a trace line
- a greater variety of figures can be filled now, not just only polygons
- you can export dynamic drawings to web sites
- the context sensitive help is now in the new HTML help style
So have a look at the new version!
Unfortunately, I had to change the license data format. If you are one of the few that already have bought a license in the past, please send me an email with your old license data. In return, I'll send you your new DGL license data file, according to my promise that updates within the same main version number will be free. Just copy the DGL file to your EUKLID DynaGeo directory!

There was a big bug in the last EUKLID DynaGeo archive resulting in the english EUKLID DynaGeo starting only in GERMAN language on almost all computers. (Perhaps in UK, it worked correctly, but I'm not even sure of that.)
Now, I hope, this is fixed. I provide a new archive, but the version number is maintained due to the fact that there is no new functionality. If you have downloaded the old archive and installed it on your computer before, please delete your EUKLID DynaGeo directory, download the new archive and repeat the installation! If not absolutely necessary, you should avoid making the registry entry discribed on the Q&A page. EUKLID DynaGeo should be able to work properly without clutching at your WINDOWS system!
I apologize for any inconvenience you had according to this bug. You can be sure, I try my best to make EUKLID DynaGeo work just the way the help file promises...

The bad news first: the possibility of ordering the english EUKLID DynaGeo online is still "under construction". I'm working on it, and I hope to get along with this until the end of February (eh? yes!! 2000!!!).
And now the good news: there is a new version 2.0 h of EUKLID DynaGeo that fixes some bugs. I've gone over the program's user interface again: e.g. the tool tips no longer appear in German but in English language now! Several internal errors concerning objects that depend on measures have been fixed. Especially, these objects now can be used in macros too. So EUKLID DynaGeo comes a bit closer to meet the specification promised in its help file.

Hallo, welcome to the new homepage of the EUKLID DynaGeo shareware program. Three years ago, there was the first english version of EUKLID DynaGeo. I placed it on the Ziff-Davies pages, where it reached 3 (of 5) stars and was downloaded about 1500 times per year. But from the American continent, there were no more than 2 or 3 attempts to register the program and get a license. Maybe, it's because a normal American user cannot imagine, what "DM 49,-" means. I admit, it was my fault to give the price in "DM" instead of "US$". But even if I did it the other way, I think, there also would have been no great success: there are still too many obstacles when you want to buy something from the other side of the earth. Have you ever tried to send a small amount of money to a distant country? I have, and I can tell you it's pure horror.
EUKLID DynaGeo originally is a German program, and in the meantime it has become rather well known in the schools of Germany. Many times I thought about skipping the english version and "concentrading" on my main market in Germany. But there were some schools abroad, that kept on being interested in the english version. And at last, Borland made it increasingly easier to internationalize a programming project - with every new version of DELPHI, what is the development system I use. So I face the challenge once again. The "2.0" is now available in English language, and I'll give it another try to make it a hit! To help to achieve this, I also plan to establish a more convenient way for the users (especially those outside Europe!) to get an EUKLID DynaGeo license: I'll give the program to a professional shareware registration service. The details still need to be cleared, but I hope to get along with this in a few weeks.
Until then, please use the shareware version! If you find any bugs in EUKLID DynaGeo, please send me an e-mail!
